Providing an attachment friendly community which fosters warmth with high boundaries so that all can achieve to their full potential.
Each day pupils will take part in a practical learning session known as CAP (Curriculum Around the Pupil) between 1:20 and 2pm.
Some of the sessions include:
Cooking - Pupils will cook a range of hot and cold meals varying from the most basic of chopping and cooking skills to the more advanced skills for our budding chefs.
Sensory Room - Pupils have access to 2 sensory rooms within Hope School which they can use to relax or to take part in learning sessions involving a range of different subjects from sharks to space.
Practical Science - Pupils will complete some practical science experiments during this session.
Sport - Pupils complete in a range of sporting activities while learning new techniques and self control.
Board Games - Does not sound like learning right? During these sessions pupils improve their speaking and listening skills, learn to adapt their reasoning skills and learn the art of team work.
There are lots of sessions available for pupils which are changed according to pupils choice at least once every half term.
