Providing an attachment friendly community which fosters warmth with high boundaries so that all can achieve to their full potential.
As a school we are pushing to become a majority paperless school this entails all pupils and staff to look at their paper usage and how we can reduce paper waste, pupils have come up with many great ideas such as re-using paper from the recycling bins, emailing any computer based work to teachers instead of printing and pupils use numeracy and writing books for all subjects instead of several different topic books that may never be fully used.
We also have our Eco-Warriors who work around school to make sure lights are turned off, no taps are left on and all people in our school community are doing their best to recycle. They also work on our school grounds to ensure the plants, trees and environment are suitably looked after.
We also have the School grower Jimmy who works with all our pupils each week and he works with the pupils growing fruit, vegetables and plants such as Potato's - sweet peas - onion - sunflowers - strawberries and lemons, these can be found around the school grounds using recyclable materials as plant pots.
As a school we have achieved the RSPB gold wild challenge award where pupils hard work learning how to create habitats for nature and then applying that knowledge to use around our school to give insects, birds and other wildlife a home or food source so they may flourish in the years to come.
