The Deprivation Funding is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
Deprivation Funding is available to both mainstream and non-mainstream schools, such as special schools and pupil referral units. It is paid to schools according to the number of pupils who have been:
At Hope School we aim to provide the best and most suitable provision. The Deprivation Funding allows us to meet the needs of our pupils whilst providing individualised personal learning.
For the current year we have recieved £61,000. This money will be spent in a variety of different ways such as curriculum based interventions, school counsellor, curriculum and reward visits, staff training and development, equipment/resources, behaviour rewards, visitors into school, transport to improve attendence and residential trips/holidays.
