Welcome to Omega. We are a Year 5/6 class of 9 boys and 1 girl, most of whom will be completing SATs in May. Our class teachers are Miss Gee and Mr Gorman. We are very lucky to be supported in class every day by Mrs Coslett and Ms Massey, they lead our interventions and helps us to become the best learners that we can be.

What we will be learning this half term:-
In Math's we will be looking in at area and perimeter of rectilinear shapes.
In English we will be exploring Journalistic skills
In Geography we will be identifying and name the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn as well as the Arctic and Antarctic Circles
In History we will be looking at Henry viii and his wives while taking a short look at Tudor times.
In Science we will be planning different types of scientific enquiry.
In Computing we will using a range of c technology for a specific project with a focus on designing our own online games.
In PSHE we will be about respect for self and others and the importance of responsible behaviours and actions
In D.T we will be looking at how products are designed to appeal to specific audiences.

All pupils receive intervention which is based on an individualised learning plan to support them with their additional needs and to ensure they continue to make good progress. As a school we use Read Write Inc. to support early reading and writing. This is a multi-sensory approach that has proven very successful. Pupils also complete sensory circuits throughout the day to help them self-regulate and be ready to learn.
