Providing an attachment friendly community which fosters warmth with high boundaries so that all can achieve to their full potential.

Welcome to Hope School! We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. At Hope School we provide an attachment-friendly community which fosters warmth with high boundaries so that all can achieve to their full potential.
At Hope School pupils are taught an individualised curriculum which caters for their specific needs. To find out more visit our subject pages under our curriculum heading!

Omega

Welcome

Welcome to Omega. We are a Year 5/6 class of 9 boys and 1 girl,  most of whom will be completing SATs in May. Our class teachers are Miss Gee and Mr Gorman. We are very lucky to be supported in class every day by Mrs Coslett and Ms Massey, they lead our interventions and helps us to become the best learners that we can be.

Mr Gorman on: m.gorman@hope-school.co.uk

This terms topic is Resilience. Resilience is that ineffable quality that allows some people to be knocked down by life and come back stronger than ever. Rather than letting failure overcome them and drain their resolve, they find a way to rise from the ashes

In D.T we will be planning and cooking a range of different foods.

Homework

Homework will be given out at the start of every half term. Pupils and parents are encouraged to work together to complete at least one task each week and return it to school.

It is also very important that we read at home with our parents and carers 3 times a week to help us make as much progress as possible.
Please make sure all of our reading is recorded in our reading records every time we read - our teachers love to hear how well we are doing at home!

Take a look at the creative homework activity sheet below to pick which activity you want to complete this week.

Intervention

All pupils receive intervention which is based on an individualised learning plan to support them with their additional needs and to ensure they continue to make good progress. As a school we use Read Write Inc. to support early reading and writing. This is a multi-sensory approach that has proven very successful. Pupils also complete sensory circuits throughout the day to help them self-regulate and be ready to learn.

Phone Calls Home

Positive phone calls home will be made every fortnight. In the meantime if you have any questions please either contact the school office or one of your child's class teachers on the emails above.
