Jeans for Genes Day 2018
On Friday 21st September 2018, Hope School raised awareness for Jeans for Genes day. Children and staff came into school in Jeans for an exchange of £1. Children took part in a range of different activities on the day to raise awareness. For more information you can visit
Pupils participated in a range of different activities including designing their own jeans and learning about children living with genes disorder. Pupils showed gratitude and amazing respect throughout the day and together as a school we raised a total of £61.00.
No Pens Wednesday
On Wednesday 3rd October pupils at Hope took part in No Pens Wednesday. During the day pupils took part in lessons which included cookery, computers, the climbing wall, English and Math's games, all lessons where creative and pupil weren't allowed to use a pen or pencil all day. Pupils really enjoyed the day and all the activities and are looking forward to next year already.
Children In Need
On Friday 16th November 2018, Hope took part in raising money for Children in Need. . Pupils wore own clothes, fancy dress and pajamas to raise money. Pupils also brought cake and took part in a raffle and we had three lucky winners. During the day pupils took part in different lessons based around Children in Need and all had a fantastic day. We raised a massive £172.65; thank you to all staff, parents and pupils for your support and donations.
Children's Secret Santa
This year's pupil's Secret Santa was a huge success. Thank you to all the children, staff and carers for taking part. I am sure you will agree it is such a rewarding gesture giving the pupil's the opportunity to think about the joy you can bring one another.
