Admission Arrangements

Hope School is a school which caters for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH)

Pupils are refered to Hope through Liverpool Council SEND department and will usually have a Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP). We will then identify if we are able to meet an individual childs needs and will act accordingly.

Pupils are then invited to Hope along with their parent/carer to have a look around, meet the other pupils and staff. This also gives them the chance to ask any questions they may have.

If you wish for more information on our over subscription criteria or If you wish for your child to attend Hope School then please contact ao@hope-school.co.uk for more information.

See below for the government's admission and appeals codes.

REMINDER:

Your child does not need an SEN diagnosis for you to receive support.

In most cases, class teachers (within your child/charges' school will address your concerns and go through your options. This may include talking to the school's Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). You can also use the self help section of the Liverpool Council Website.

If you have spoken to the school but would still like further advice and support then please contact Liverpool and Knowsley SENDIASS on 0800 0129066.

All contact is confidential except where you agree to let SENDIASS talk to other agencies on your behalf, or if a child is at risk.

Article 7; Every child has the right to be registered at birth, to have a name and nationality, and, as far as possible, to know and be cared for by their parents.
