If you are worried that a child has suffered harm, neglect or abuse or you are worried that a child may be at risk if suffering harm you should contact Children's Social Care Liverpool on 0151 459 2606 or visit their website Children's social care - Liverpool City Council.
If you think a child is in immediate danger call for police assistance.
Are you experiencing Domestic Abuse?
Domestic abuse is any type of controlling, bullying, threatening or violent behaviour between people who are or have been in a relationship. It can also happen between adults related to one another. It can seriously harm children and young people, and experiencing domestic abuse is child abuse.
It's important to remember that domestic abuse:
- can happen inside and outside the home
- can happen over the phone, on the internet and on social networking sites
- can happen in any relationship and can continue even after the relationship has ended
- both men and women can be abused or abusers.
Who to call for advice
In an emergency dial 999 for immediate assistance.
You can call 999 without speaking, then pressing 55 or tapping or coughing into the phone. This will enable police to respond.
Domestic abuse and violence - Liverpool City Council has a wealth of advice and a list of organisations who can offer you support and keep your personal information safe. You may also be able to ask for an interpreter if you need one.
How to Protect Children From Domestic Abuse | NSPCC - NSPCC services can support children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse to help them move on and receive the care they need.
