Welcome to Class 4

Welcome to Class 4. We are a Year 5 and 6 class of 8 boys and 1 girl. Our class teacher is Mr. Gorman and we are supported in class every day by Mrs. Coslett, who leads our interventions and helps us to become the best learners that we can be.

Contact Mr. Gorman on: m.gorman@hope-school.co.uk.

This half term will be the first time in a few months that all pupils are back in class and so our school day will be slightly different to help us all settle back in to school life. Our school day will start at 9am and finish at 2pm. During the day we will be doing lots of active learning, focusing mainly on our social, emotional and mental health. We will be doing lots of learning around keeping safe, keeping healthy and looking after each other.

Every Monday will be outdoor learning day, pupils can wear own clothes to ensure they are prepared for any weather. During this day we will spend most of the day learning outside and completing different activities.

Our learning for this half terms learning will be

Mr O'Neill will continue to build on previous learning and 'fill gaps' we may have through interventions.

Homework

Homework will be given out at the start of every half term. Pupils and parents are encouraged to work together to complete at least one task each week and return it to school.

It is also very important that we read at home with our parents and carers 3 times a week to help us make as much progress as possible.
Please make sure all of our reading is recorded in our reading records every time we read - our teachers love to hear how well we are doing at home!

Take a look at the creative homework activity sheet using the link below to pick which activity you want to complete this week or way not access one of our online learning platforms?
