Welcome to Hope School! We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. At Hope School we provide an attachment-friendly community which fosters warmth with high boundaries so that all can achieve to their full potential.
At Hope School pupils are taught an individualised curriculum which caters for their specific needs.

Class 5

Welcome to Class 5

We are a mixed class of 11 pupils from year 5, 6, 7 and 8. Our class teacher is Miss Mahoney and we are very lucky to be supported by both Miss Gomes and Mr Burquest.

In class 5 we work hard to develop a calm and positive environment where everybody feels safe, happy and can learn in a way that suits their needs.

Our topic this term will be Teamwork, where we will focus on working together as a team to accomplish all that we can.

Teamwork activities will be found entwined throughout many of our lessons and will encourage pupils to work together to get the best outcome of each activity.

What we will be learning

During the day we will be doing lots of active learning, focusing mainly on our social, emotional and mental health. We will be doing lots of learning around keeping safe, keeping healthy and looking after ourselves and each other.

Chloe will return to Hope School in after the Easter holidays and will continue to teach Class 5 Aerial ninjas by focusing on the work they have already done on the silks and hoops in the past, whilst also teaching them some new and exciting tricks and skills. Chloe will also be working through yoga and circuits to focus on their fitness and stamina and build on their core strength.

Class 5 will be completing swimming lessons throughout this term at Garston swimming baths each Wednesday. This will build the confidence of many pupils who haven't had the opportunity to go swimming due to lockdown rules.
