Class 5

Welcome to Class 5

We are a mixed class of 9 pupils in years 5, 6 and 8 working from the year 6 curriculum. We are taught by Mr Darkins and have our learning supported by Mr Glover. We will also be joined this half term by Miss O'Brien, a student teacher from Edge Hill University.

In class 5 we have worked collaboratively to establish our class charter, a set of non-negotiable and negotiable rules to ensure that everyone feels safe, happy and ready to learn.

On Tuesdays we have Aerial Ninjas with Chloe, we can bring in our own PE kits for this if we wish, if not PE kit is provided.

On a Wednesday we will need to bring with us clothes that we don't mind getting muddy as it is our Outdoor Learning day. We will need; a top, a jumper, a jacket and a coat, as well as sun tan lotion to keep us safe on those sunny days. It is a good idea to bring in spare socks and shoes in case we get wet or muddy feet! At Forest School our learning is opportunistic, so if we are fortunate enough to get snow we will explore and have fun with it, so we may also need to bring a hat, gloves and scarf.

To contact Mr Darkins please email m.darkins@hope-school.co.uk

To contact Mr Glover please email j.glover@hope-school.co.uk

Each half term we follow an aspect of the schools' value; this half term our focus is on teamwork, we will be learning collaberatively and understanding our roles within in a team and how theses dynamics help us to achieve more.
