Pupil Voice
Pupil voice is highly important to everyone at Hope School, we meet as a whole school weekly, we look at issues around the school, any pupil can raise a matter or a suggestion and we look at current events. The minutes for this are uploaded to the school forum page of the website.
Mrs O'Neill accompanied by a member of the governors meets with pupils once a term to discuss their learning in school, the questions change termly but are focused around the Ofsted criteria or any changes to policy or procedure.
Mrs Anderson accompanied by a governor has a personal development, behavior and welfare forum with pupils once a term looking at pupil safety and extra curricula activities.
The school forum has voted a committee, (chair, secretary and treasurer). To have the option of being voted for pupils must write a speech and present it to the school and the pupils vote for the most suitable person.
The school forum also elects a head boy/head girl, pupil write a speech and are voted in a blind ballot. Once voted for pupils meet with member of the leadership team sharing ideas for change and improvement.
Pupil voice is also captured usually in the format of a questionnaire on the following events:
- Launch days
- Trips
- Productions
- PSHE week
- Residential holidays
- Hope Family Works
- Visitors
- Over special event days
The pupils voice inform future planning for events.
